Yamamoto’s Inspection Characteristics

Yamamoto’s Inspection System

When products arrive from each factory to Yamamoto, we conduct inspections according to their respective rules.

In companies like ours, which handle intermediary tasks, it’s not uncommon to skip inspections and proceed with shipping. While the factories generally perform inspections, we still take the extra step to ensure thoroughness!

In the unlikely event of any issues, we can promptly return items to the factory.

Considering that some customers are located at a distance, it’s crucial to detect issues as early as possible. After all, subsequent actions depend on it!

Inspection Commencement

While each factory may have differences in their processes, I’ll outline common practices.

◆ Dimensions ◆ Specifications ◆ Stitching ◆ Appearance

We verify the above four points.

Dimensions: Each factory has an acceptable margin of error for dimensions, considering variations in fabric elasticity. We check if the dimensions align with the specified requirements.

Specifications: We confirm whether the product adheres to the basic specifications or if any special instructions have been given. This is also the time to ensure that any paid options are properly implemented.

Stitching: We assess the technical aspects of stitching, from simple thread irregularities to areas where the stitching may have unraveled.

Appearance: We address wrinkles acquired during shipping and any areas where the lining may have creased onto the outer fabric. We use a press to correct these issues.

Essential Inspection Tools

While measuring tools and thread-cutting scissors are standard, we also employ a “Vacuum-Attached Press Table” commonly used in sewing factories!

With this press table, wrinkles are effortlessly smoothed out. It’s always emitting steam, making it quickly accessible and efficient.

Given the large quantities we inspect daily, this press table proves to be incredibly useful.

Note: Before acquiring this press table, we used to warm up irons and ensure steam production, which took quite a bit of time.

Conclusion: After inspection, we guide you through the preferred pickup method. Surprisingly, inspections can be quite time-consuming!
