I would like to share information about the crucial “patterns” in GX Suits.
While preserving the beloved International model (sewing factory Gents Factory Pattern) that has been cherished for years, we have introduced the EXCY Original Model, incorporating elements of further modernization and globalization.
First and foremost, the ideal pattern, blending British style with Italian taste, was crafted by the renowned Japanese Modellist Association President and a leading modellist in Japan, Mr. Tohmi Shiba, who is also a member of IACDE (International Association of Clothing Designers & Executives).
“Modernization” involves optimizing generous dimensions to align with current size preferences, emphasizing ease of wear with a light feel at the shoulders, and designing for beautiful lines. The waist suppression is set higher, and careful attention has been given to the beauty of the back view.
Additionally, the front cut features a larger curved line than before, embodying current trends.
“Globalization” focuses on providing a wide range of drop and depth sizes to accommodate various body types worldwide. *A total of 96 size variations with 6 body types and size 16.
Shoulder shapes include Natural Shoulder, Build-up, and Manica Camicia, enhancing versatility.
As EXCY Yamamoto, we have not forgotten our thorough dedication to materials. The visible lining is made of cupra, and genuine water buffalo buttons are standard. Moreover, the crucial canvas supporting the inside of the jacket, though unseen, comes in two types: a structured canvas for a British taste and a soft, light canvas for an Italian feel, allowing for customization.
In addition, the back of the trousers features a 100% cotton original marvel belt, and the knee area is equipped with a cupra 100% fabric with stretch functionality, both set as standard specifications.
For vests, we prioritize a fit similar to the jacket.
The pants are designed for easy wearing and to create an elongated look for the legs. An original marvel belt made with 100% cotton slake is included, and as suit options, we offer original jacquard linings and buttons imported directly from Italy.
In this way, the GX model envisions the ideal form of clothing and has crafted patterns that are easy for customers to use.
How was it for you?
In creating this GX pattern, Mr. Shiba, Gents, and our three companies collaborated, making adjustments and adding refinements along the way. Through multiple prototypes and a series of twists and turns, when we finally held the finished product in our hands, it was truly a profound moment.
