Hello everyone!
This is Daisuke from the GX Blog editorial department.
This time, I would like to introduce you to Custom-made suits in jersey material, which are popular in Japan.

It Is Hard to Make Custom-made Suits in Jersey Material.
The casualization of suits and jackets has accelerated over the past decade or so.
Business styles have become more casual, and manufacturers and brands are releasing more and more ready-made suits made of jersey material and stretchy casual suits.
On the other hand, the Custom-made suits market has not been able to spread the use of stretch fabrics.
Why is that?
This is because the basic premise of a custom-made suit is that it must be made to the specified dimensions, and jersey material, which inevitably stretches, tends to produce inconsistencies in the finished dimensions, and few factories will accept it.
Another aspect is that in a normal custom-made suit factory, the materials they usually sew are suit fabrics, so the threads and sewing machines they use are not suitable for stretchy materials, so they cannot sew them.
Furthermore, jersey material for custom-made suits itself is not available, making it difficult to arrange for stretchy material.

About GX Jersey
This is an manufacturing service to make custom-made suits using jersey and knit fabrics.
The same pattern as the GX suit is used.
Unconstructed tailoring (no interlining or lining) is used to make the most of the material’s characteristics.
This service was made possible with the cooperation of a sewing factory in Aomori, Japan, which is willing to try new things.
Basically, MTO is based on ready-made sizes, but a little body shape correction is possible.
We can also make a vest, making it possible to produce a three-piece suit.
They are also less costly to produce than custom-made suits that use interlinings.
Taking advantage of the unconstructed tailoring, casual jackets made of heavy materials such as tweed can be made for fall and winter, while jackets made of cut-and-sewn fabrics can be made for spring and summer, replacing a cardigan with a much lighter jacket.
Original Fabric
When we started our custom order service for jersey suits, we created an original material that can be used for business purposes, and that we wanted our customers to enjoy the comfort of wearing.
This original fabric started with two colors, but due to popular demand, it is now available in nine colors.
Fabric Features
The yarn is twisted with a perfect balance of wool and polyester, and made into a wide twill using a high gauge knitting machine.
The processing is a composite process that maximizes the knitting structure and surface, resulting in a smooth and silky luster. (Anti-static treatment is also included.)
Fabric is made by Morishita Meriyasu (Japan)
This wonderful material was produced by Morishita Meriyasu Factory, which boasts 110 years of history in Wakayama Prefecture, one of Japan’s leading knitwear production centers. The company also produces materials for famous luxury brands, and has developed many unique materials.
