What is a GX anyway?
What is the GX in the title of this blog, GX Blog? You still don’t know, do you?
GX is the name of the service for tailors to manufacture custom-made products that we have been developing.
“G” = Gentleman, meaning that we want to propose gentlemanly and elegant styles like a gentleman.
“X” = x for multiplication, meaning to multiply and make something wonderful.
We have been developing a series of products based on the above concept.

In this article, I will explain the main axis of the GX suit.
What Is the GX Suit?
This is the name of our original pattern custom-made suits for B2B manufactured by Gents Co. in Fukushima prf, Japan.
Yamamoto Sewing Department is mainly responsible for acting as a contact point for Gents Co. sewing contract.
Gents Co. has its own original sewing pattern, but we decided to make a different pattern based on the requests we received from our customers.
- To be able to wear it all the time without being influenced by trends.
- Use sub-materials with the same attention to detail as the company that handles buttons, linings, and wool interlining.
The GX Suit was created based on the above concept.
After many rounds of sample making and meetings with Gents Co., we were able to start taking orders in earnest in April 2018.
The Appeal of GX Suits

It is based on a classic British style.
In addition, the waistpoint is set at a higher position to beautify the back line, adding an elegant and modern element.
You can also choose Italian details such as “manica camica” shoulders to suit your taste.
Wide Variety of Pattern Grade
Gents is a factory that originally had a wide variety of sizes in one master pattern and high grading skill.
We were also able to utilize the technology in the pattern grading of the GX suit.
There Are Many Areas That Can Be Corrected.
The disadvantage of general machine-made MTM is that there are only a few areas that can be corrected and the range of possible corrections is limited.
The GX suit has many points that can be corrected, and you can choose the option of temporary suit stitching to adjust measurements.
High Quality Sub-materials
We, Yamamoto & Co., Ltd. started as a wholesaler of parts and accessories for clothing, and we are still working on it as the mainstay of our company.
The basic specifications of the GX suit include our original buffalo button and cupro for the body lining, and other high quality sub-materials.
