This is Fukunobu from the GXblog editorial team.
In addition to offering custom suits and shirts, our company also accepts orders for custom coats. In Japan, the number of factories capable of handling coat orders is limited compared to suit orders. However, at our company, we offer custom coat orders with original patterns. Given the current situation where many tailors create custom coats in limited factories, some tailors may find it challenging to differentiate themselves from others or may face frustrations when designs and quality do not align with their shop’s direction.
Our custom coat orders are crafted with patterns created by renowned modelists in the tailoring industry and produced by leading factories in Japan. This results in high-quality and unique products. Therefore, we hope you consider our custom coats as one of your options.
Factory Introduction
Factory Harmonizing Handcraftsmanship with High-Tech Expertise

As for GX Coat Order, we produce our garments in a domestic factory that has been certified with a three-star recognition by IACDE (International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives) Japan Chapter. Our factory, located in Okayama, is dedicated to achieving the highest quality and ensuring exceptional comfort in our coats. We continually engage in research and development, and we have earned profound respect from major apparel manufacturers and established tailoring houses.
At our factory, a team of over 100 highly skilled staff members diligently works on mastering the handling of newly developed materials, pattern making, sewing techniques, and the compatibility of various components such as interlining. We are committed to delving into the essence of fashion and pursuing the highest quality. We take pride in our craft and approach clothing production with a sense of pride and affection.
Our factory is a team of “people” at its core, striving not to be swayed by superficial fashion trends but instead dedicated to exploring the essence of clothing, all while maintaining a focus on human-centered craftsmanship. Our aim is to be an ongoing center for excellence in technology that seeks the highest quality.

Even as computerization has made significant strides in the apparel production industry, with the integration of high-tech rationalization, we actively embrace the latest know-how, including cutting machines, and more. However, it’s essential to remember that clothing is something intended for human wear. It’s a creation born from the hands of humans. As garments ascend into the realm of high-end ready-to-wear, the role of craftsmanship becomes more pronounced.
No matter how much technology advances and times change, the attachment to the timeless quality of “comfort” in clothing remains unwavering. We remain committed to the traditional craftsmanship that can be considered old-fashioned, emphasizing the human touch in our production process. This dedication to handcrafting continues to be our hallmark, even in an age of innovation, ensuring that the essence of “comfort” is preserved.

Our production layout follows a model where small teams are organized, and each team member handles various aspects of sewing, creating a production system that is akin to handmade craftsmanship. To transform materials with diverse characteristics, such as fabric thickness and softness, into a unified whole, our team members need to exhibit adaptability, attention to detail, and advanced skills. Additionally, to accommodate the natural variations in the materials we use, we consider humidity management as a critical factor.
We maintain humidity levels around 65% by incorporating humidification and dehumidification equipment. Furthermore, we have introduced aging control boxes that enable us to add humidity to the fabric when needed. These are part of our efforts to provide an optimal environment through high-tech solutions.
Sewing techniques are indispensable for converting flat fabric into three-dimensional, draped creations. They are pivotal in maintaining the beautiful silhouette of Sartorial garments while ensuring a soft, comfortable fit that allows for unrestricted movement. These techniques are the result of inherited expertise and an unceasing commitment to producing garments that hold their own in the global arena.
